With a maximum of 12 members per club, each reader will meet up with like-minded peers to chat all things books, receive exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming titles and have the opportunity to review titles and have their reviews displayed in-store and online.
Each session is convened by Kasey, an avid reader, experienced English teacher and teacher-librarian, as well as mum to a tiny human. Kasey guides the group with reading prompts, discussion points and a fun game or two to keep things interesting!

In May and June, we’ve run six sessions across our three book clubs - Magical Minds for 8-10 year olds, The Matilda Society for 10-12 year olds and Chapter & Ink for 13+. Over the course of Term 2, our book club has been a vibrant space of discovery and discussion. We welcomed new faces who joined us for the first time, enriching our conversations with fresh perspectives. We’ve spent our evenings unravelling complex puzzles and confronting characters grappling with impossible decisions, sparking debates about choices and consequences. We also turned a critical eye to the art of storytelling, contemplating how we might write or edit the books differently to enhance their impact. Through it all, we've shared laughter, insights, and a genuine love for reading. While our next meeting won't be until August, we eagerly anticipate reuniting in the bookshop to continue our literary adventures.
