CHARITY DAY December 2025

In December, our Monthly Charity Day (Christmas Shopping Night on Thursday Devember 18)— where we donate 15% of the value of each book sold in the shop and online to a charity or organisation that we love to support — will be in support of Foodbank SA.

Foodbank SA is the largest food relief organisation in Australia, restoring hope to people who are struggling by rescuing and sourcing food and groceries from farmers, manufacturers and retailers and distributing them to front line charities and schools around the country to provide to individuals, children and families in need. Thanks to the support of friends like you they support over 150,000 households across South Australia and the Northern Territory every month. This is the heartbreaking reality for too many families. Right now, more than 300,000 households in SA & NT struggle to put food on the table each year, and Foodbank can only reach a portion of them. The need is growing faster than ever.

Last Charity Day in November with your support we were able to donate to Hutt Street Centre’s Give a Glimmer of Home at Christmas Appeal, which provides the opportunity for those experiencing homelesssness, a festive meal, a thoughtful gift and the chance to connect with others, surrounded by laughter and conversation.
